David,
Our developers and testers are hard at work delivering the initial release of IssueTrak 10. Our plan is to do a phased release starting late this summer for customers with AD and IEM and a second full version release at the end of the year or first of 2014.
This has been a long and challenging road for us and we appreciate your patience as we approach the finish line for IssueTrak 10. We are excited about the new design and the new capabilities the new version will have for you. Look for updates in the community as release dates become more firm. -

Phew! We have been heads down getting IssueTrak 9.7 coded, tested and available for release. What a milestone! IssueTrak 9.7 is our last planned “classic” IssueTrak release. Now our sole focus is on getting IssueTrak 10, what we consider to be the next generation of our tool, ready to go. I know it has been a long wait for you all so let me give you an official update on our progress.
We’re close to having the product ready for preview. We’re quite anxious for your feedback and will launch a public preview site early in the second quarter. Soon after, we’ll have an installable beta copy ready for community members interested in reviewing a site loaded with a copy of your own data. This beta will not be production ready of course, but will certainly give you a good idea of the great things to come.
IssueTrak, along with our Email Processing and Active Directory add on modules, is targeted for release later in the second quarter, followed closely by the Asset Management, Billing and Surveys modules within the third quarter. We’ll launch public previews in advance and offer beta copies for the modules as well.
We appreciate your patience. We’re working hard to add many of the enhancements you’ve requested and are being careful to ensure that quality is not overlooked. Thanks so much for your support and all of the input you’ve provided along the way! IssueTrak 10 is just around the corner!

We are making great progress on our new product and expect it to be available next summer. The results have been exciting so far -- many changes that we think will be well received. We can't wait to get it out to you!

Apologies for the confusion! We were referring to the summer of 2011.
However; we’ve since decided to spend a little more time making the new product even better. We have already reduced clicks and pop up windows and are taking that a step further in order to really streamline your workflow. This will add a few months to the timeline. In the meantime we have a release of our current product, IssueTrak 9.6, targeted for March, 2011, followed up by IssueTrak 9.7 this summer (2011). We are targeting January 2012 for delivery of our new product.
Out of curiosity – what new capabilities are you most interested in seeing in the Dot Net version? We really hate to make you wait longer. The new product is coming together very well. We think you’ll find it worth the wait!-
We are most interested in the ability to add new user designed fields. Since we use the "Custom Screens" feature quite a bit, we have maxed out of available fields.
We are also very interested in the ability to make more fields and features internal only, such as SLA's and attachments. -

Is there an updated roadmap document that we could be privy to? It really feels like a partnership when the vendors we use in house mature into better and better offerings.

Milton,
Our team of developers is still hard at work producing the code for the our converted product. From my last conversation with LaDonna we are still on tract to meet the dates she added above, January 2012. That date is very fluid Milton and could be moved back if we feel the product is not ready for release. Our leadership, while focused on getting the product out as soon as possible is more focused on delivering a quality product to market, so if a delay is needed to meet our standards, then a delay will be added to the timelime.
As time passes through the rest of 2011 we will release updates when appropiate, so keep on following the community. -

Does the .Net product include support for nested security groups in the Active Directory? That is, if an A/D group is specified in any area of Issuetrak, do the returned users include those members of security groups nested within the group specified?
SPECIFIEDGROUP
····User1
····User2
····NESTEDGROUP1
········User3
········User4
····NESTEDGROUP2
········NESTEDGROUP3
············User5
············User6
Thus, would all six users be returned?-
Yes indeed Scott. IssueTrak 10 does include support for nested security groups just as you describe. So yes, all six users will be returned in the example you gave. Your input was extremely valuable as we designed this feature for the new version of our product. Thanks for helping us improve it!

Now it is February and I do not see any updates on the 10.0 release. This was a big selling point for us when we renewed and we are pretty disappointed right now. Any idea when we will be seeing this release?
Thanks. -

Do you have an update as to when the .NET version of IssueTrak will be available?
-
-
We're still working hard to complete the .NET version, which we are calling IssueTrak 10. The new program is looking very good, but we don't have a release date at this point.
-
-
Do we have a release date? I need some guidance on when the new version will be available as I do not want to waste time reconfiguring the current version.
-
-
Courtney, as Mike Wright mentioned when he called you, for the near term it's best to go ahead and configure your current version.
Although we continue to make good progress, we aren't ready to go public with a release date yet. If you're interested in being a beta tester, please contact LaDonna Beauregard at ladonna.beauregard@issuetrak.com. -

could we get a more recent update and timeline on the new product release.
